Rawalpindi

My honey lives there.
I remember the black swan where between us we watched the whole film. You covered your eyes for the sexy bits and I covered mine for the nasty bits. I didn't enjoy that film.

I would say that the friend that I have seen some of the worst movies with was Bev. We could never get it right. I've seen some of the best with you. I particularly liked some of the earlier ones where we didn't do much watching.

Movies

The first film I ever saw was Jungle Book with dad. I am not sure what cinema it was at but I do remember that we had to leave part way through because there was a fire or at least that is what I think happened. I would have to check with dad to be absolutely sure but as we are both losing our memories I am not sure if I have made it up. I also remember seeing Grizzly Adams and The Spy Who Loved Me with dad. When I was older we went to a cinema in Walsall - it was unlike cinemas today - one screen (or maybe two) and the queue would go around the block. The carpet was always sticky and you bought your ticket and sat anywhere you could. It was a Canon cinema but is no longer there. It became a Woolworths.
The story of the little match girl - another story that makes me cry.

Match Box

This reminded me of something we were asked to do when I was a young girl and that was to see how many things I could get into a match box. I think I remember the match box being one of the stubbier types (not swan) and I think I also remember getting quite a lot of things into it. You couldn't have two of the same thing. Funny really but I wouldn't mind having another go at it now. In fact I think that we both should have a go and see who can get the most in theirs. What do you think?

The only joke I could find

Q: How can you avoid spotting a wrinkle every time you walk by a mirror?

A: The next time you're in front of a mirror, take off your glasses.

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Do you have to tell it all?
Where do you get the glaring right
To make my clothes look too darn tight?
I think I'm fine but I can see
You won't cooperate with me,
The way you let the shadows play
You'd think my hair was getting gray.
What's that, you say? A double chin?
No, that's the way the light comes in,
If you persist in peering so
You'll confiscate my facial glow,
And then if you're not hanging straight
You'll tell me next I'm gaining weight,
I'm really quite upset with you
For giving this distorted view;
I hate you being smug and wise
O, look what's happened to my thighs!
I warn you now, O mirrored wall,
Since we're not on speaking terms at all,
If I look like this in my new jeans
You'll find yourself in smithereens!!

Listen to this.
Hope There's Someone by Antony & The Johnsons
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKVHko9YIq8
It made me cry anyway

Hope there's someone
Who'll take care of me
When I die, will I go

Hope there's someone
Who'll set my heart free
Nice to hold when I'm tired

There's a ghost on the horizon
When I go to bed
How can I fall asleep at night
How will I rest my head

Oh I'm scared of the middle place
Between light and nowhere
I don't want to be the one
Left in there, left in there

There's a man on the horizon
Wish that I'd go to bed
If I fall to his feet tonight
Will allow rest my head

So here's hoping I will not drown
Or paralyze in light
And godsend I don't want to go
To the seal's watershed

Hope there's someone
Who'll take care of me
When I die, Will I go

Hope there's someone
Who'll set my heart free
Nice to hold when I'm tired

Hello

Dear honey thank you for the text. Love you

Butterflies range in size from a tiny 1/8 inch to a huge almost 12 inches.
Butterflies can see red, green, and yellow.
Some people say that when the black bands on the Woolybear caterpillar are wide, a cold winter is coming.
The top butterfly flight speed is 12 miles per hour. Some moths can fly 25 miles per hour!
Monarch butterflies journey from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, a distance of about 2,000 miles, and return to the north again in the spring.
Butterflies cannot fly if their body temperature is less than 86 degrees.
Representations of butterflies are seen in Egyptian frescoes at Thebes, which are 3,500 years old.
Antarctica is the only continent on which no Lepidoptera have been found.
There are about 24,000 species of butterflies. The moths are even more numerous: about 140,000 species of them were counted all over the world.
The Brimstone butterfly (Gonepterix rhamni) has the longest lifetime of the adult butterflies: 9-10 months.
Some Case Moth caterpillars (Psychidae) build a case around themselves that they always carry with them. It is made of silk and pieces of plants or soil.
The caterpillars of some Snout Moths (Pyralididae) live in or on water-plants.
The females of some moth species lack wings, all they can do to move is crawl.
The Morgan's Sphinx Moth from Madagascar has a proboscis (tube mouth) that is 12 to 14 inches long to get the nectar from the bottom of a 12 inch deep orchid discovered by Charles Darwin.
Some moths never eat anything as adults because they don't have mouths. They must live on the energy they stored as caterpillars.
Many butterflies can taste with their feet to find out whether the leaf they sit on is good to lay eggs on to be their caterpillars' food or not.
There are more types of insects in one tropical rain forest tree than there are in the entire state of Vermont.
In 1958 Entomologist W.G. Bruce published a list of Arthropod references in the Bible. The most frequently named bugs from the Bible are: Locust: 24, Moth: 11, Grasshopper: 10, Scorpion: 10, Caterpillar: 9, and Bee: 4.
People eat insects – called "Entomophagy"(people eating bugs) – it has been practiced for centuries throughout Africa, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and North, Central and South America. Why? Because many bugs are both protein-rich and good sources of vitamins, minerals and fats.
YOU can eat bugs! Try the "Eat-A-Bug Cookbook" by David George Gordon , 10 Speed Press. Don’t want to cook them yourself? Go to HotLix for all sorts of insect goodies! My favorites are "Cricket-lickit’s" – a flavored sucker with a real edible cricket inside.
Many insects can carry 50 times their own body weight. This would be like an adult person lifting two heavy cars full of people.
There are over a million described species of insects. Some people estimate there are actually between 15 and 30 million species.
Most insects are beneficial to people because they eat other insects, pollinate crops, are food for other animals, make products we use (like honey and silk) or have medical uses.
Butterflies and insects have their skeletons on the outside of their bodies, called the exoskeleton. This protects the insect and keeps water inside their bodies so they don’t dry out.

Sound lovely

More milk

Ive never seen Mom drink milk and she always preferred her coffee black.
Dad likes milk but not the new fangled skimmed kind.
A H likes milk but again it is full fat for him and a biscuit is always welcome
T does not like milk.
I like a mug of cold milk, warm milk in hot chocolate and in coffee. Skimmed milk is fine.I love the idea of buffalo milk and enjoyed it v much in Pakistan.
E R I think likes milk esp. her moms.
I used to have a small bottle of milk at Junior school when it was free for every child. They used to come in big crates and we had a milk monitor.
Today children in early years still get milk but in a carton.
We always got on very well with our milkman. He would collect the milk money from mom and I remember he had a little book he would jot down payments in. We always had quite a lot of milk delivered as dad liked 6 eggs in milk for breakfast - at least that is what I remember.

I had to include these as they are really quite funny.

Dear milkman:
I've just had a baby, please leave another one.

Please leave an extra pint of paralysed milk.

Cancel one pint after the day after today.

Please don't leave any more milk. All they do is drink it.

Milkman, please close the gate behind you because the birds keep pecking the tops off the milk.

Milkman, please could I have a loaf but not bread today.

Please cancel milk. I have nothing coming into the house but two sons on the dole.

Sorry not to have paid your bill before, but my wife had a baby and I've been carrying it around in my pocket for weeks.

Sorry about yesterday's note. I didn't mean one egg and a dozen pints, but the other way round.

When you leave my milk please knock on my bedroom window and wake me because I want you to give me a hand to turn the
mattress.

Please knock. My TV's broken down and I missed last night's Coronation Street. If you saw it, will you tell me what
happened over a cup of tea?

My daughter says she wants a milkshake. Do you do it before you deliver or do I have to shake the bottle?

Please send me a form for cheap milk, for I have a baby two month old and did not know about it until a neighbour told
me.

Please send me details about cheap milk as I am stagnant.

Milk is needed for the baby. Father is unable to supply it.

From now on please leave two pints every other day an one pint on the days in between, except Wednesdays and Saturdays
when I don't want any milk.

My back door is open. Please put milk in fridge, get money out of cup in drawer and leave change on kitchen table in pence, because we
want to play bingo tonight.

Please leave no milk today. When I say today, I mean tomorrow, for I wrote this note yesterday.

When you leave the milk please put the coal on the boiler, let dog out and put newspaper inside the screen door.
P.S. Don't leave any milk.

No milk. Please do not leave milk at No. 14 either as he is dead until further notice.

Milk

The story of my sister and her best friend.
I have told you this tale before. A lady lived up the road from my dads house and she was always cross that me and my best friend would sit on the rocks at the end of her garden. This is not about that but some years later she came to my mom and said that T and H had pushed in the tops to her milk bottles. Mom spoke to them both and they denied it. Mom defended them and it wasnt until some years later that T and H owned up to having done this dreadful dead. At this point mom was in a quandry. Should she go and speak to the woman who she was now on speaking terms with and apologise or was it best to let sleeping dogs lie. Oh the difficulty of being a parent. I dont think she ever mentioned it again.
